Modular editorial design
Dolody was a weekly, modular web publication. Each issue contained different modules specific to that issue's content. To begin the design, many grid structures were explored.
Exploring the visual layout
After the grid and module types were defined, several explorations were conducted on visual layout treatments. Each had stengths and weaknesses which were evaluated to detemine the final design.
An old-time concept with a modern presentation
Weekly publications were originally introduced centries ago. The final design stayed true to the aesthetics from those times. However, the content and digital backbone of Dolody provides a modern take on a classic content paradigm.
